Nashville SC will play its first regular-season game at Nissan Stadium because of high demand for tickets.

The game March 24 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds originally was scheduled to be played at First Tennessee Park, where the USL franchise will play its other home games in its inaugural season. Kickoff will be at 5 p.m.

A crowd of 9,049 showed up Saturday for Nashville SC's first exhibition game, which was played against Atlanta United FC at First Tennessee Park.

"We saw the incredible passion and support of our fans in our preseason exhibition last Saturday," Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske said. "On Saturday, March 24, we have our first opportunity to play a regular season match in front of those fans. By moving this event to Nissan Stadium, Nashville Soccer Club wanted to ensure that every fan that wants to take in history will have the opportunity to do so."

It will be the first soccer game played at Nissan Stadium since two international events — CONCACAF Golf Cup and International Champions Cup — last July, which drew a total of more than 100,000 fans.

"We are excited to host Nashville SC's first regular season game," said Bob Flynn, the Titans' vice president of facilities and game day operations. "We have hosted a number of world class soccer teams at Nissan Stadium through the years and we are thrilled to finally be able to host Nashville's team."
