34 Players Called Up for Kickers U20 Initial Roster Ahead of USL Academy League Season
Richmond Kickers NewsRICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce 34 Kickers first team and Richmond United players called up to compete in the club’s U20 team during the 2024 USL Academy League this Summer.
Initially announced in November 2023, the Kickers U20 team competing in USL Academy will be comprised of elite, local youth talent through a partnership between the Kickers and Richmond United. Also serving as a reserve team for the Kickers, professional players will be able to move down to play more competitive minutes or regain match fitness following an injury.

Barnthan and Vinyals earning their licenses is a reflection of their commitment and the Kickers professional team’s commitment to building a cohesive player development pathway in the Central Virginia region. By pursuing professional development opportunities like coaching licenses, Kickers pro players can continue to grow the game in Richmond both on the pitch and on the touchline.
