Welcome to Corringham Cosmos yfc

The club was originally known as ‘Corringham Cosmos FC’ and was founded in 1980 by Tony Stone, Dave Gardner, Dave Jenkins and John Reed. They founded two teams so that their children could continue playing organised football during the weekend, sporting a kit of Green and Yellow. The original shirt was green with a yellow diagonal stripe with Cosmos printed on the stripe.

The club was later named ‘Corringham Cosmos YFC’  to coincide with new FA policies on junior and youth football, including the launch of Mini-Soccer and the increasing involvement of girl’s football, and new distinctive club colours of Yellow and Green were introduced. The club was proud to introduce girl’s football in 2003 and have been successful with various age groups since.
