Matthew Nigro is a defender who can play either outside back or center back and excels at winning 50/50 balls. He easily transitions from defense to offense and always joins the attack on set plays to utilize his ability to win balls out of the air. He has also been used, at times, as a defensive midfielder.

Matthew is in the class of 2015 at Nationally Ranked, St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he is a varsity starter. Matthew plays his club soccer for PFC 96/97 SYSA out of Ohio North. PFC was the 2012 Ohio North State Cup Champion and a 2013 USYSA Region II Finalist.

Matthew projects to be a dominant center defender/left back at the next level with the ability to dominate everything out of the air and utilize his natural left foot. He has a passion for the game instilled upon him by a family of soccer players and hopes to continue playing at the collegiate level.
